Death of Michael Jackson at age of 50

Today I was shocked to read that the king of pop has died at the age of 50 !
He was rushed to the hospital and has died because of a heart attack !
Micheal is one of my Idols, his music has done alot, and he really is a king !
people might think that music isn’t important, music is just stupid and being an artist isn’t really a career.
but I disagree, Music is a great way of sending us a message, music influences us in many ways and Music IS a great way of emotional communication, if used correctly .
May you rest in peace michael , you really touched me !(Not inappropriately as a kid)
To all Michael jackson’s fans, I’m sorry for our loss huge loss !

Ok, I’m going insane because of buddypress, too much bugs that are holding me back from production !!!@#@
Maybe I had wrong goals while researching for a nice framework to have as a platform for my social networking projects !
My goals were to find something that is
- Free as in cost
- Opensourced
- Scalable
- Stable
- Has a reasonably big community
- Will help me reach producation QUICKLY as I dont have lots of free time
- Has lots of hacks and plugins already written “no need for me to work alot on them”
- Just needs my little hacks here and there to get it ready to production
- Fast
Well, I skipped some of my main goals while picking buddypress, I liked the simplicity and community behind it
but didn’t really thought thoroughly, It has a community yes, but still isn’t big enough, it has support, but there are more problems for the community to handle !
It’s a great product yes, but it’s still young, So now I have to choose a way, Either stick with buddypress and work on it with developers to make it bigger, in that way i’ll also learn alot about it and hack it more easily.
If i choose the other way, which is find another social networking engine, like :
- Dolphin community builder
- Lovd By Less
- Something here
I’m researching hard to decide which way i’m going , one of the main goals is to reach production quickly !, so I dont want to spend time configuring and fixing !
If you’ve got thoughts , please help me out

Hello All , Yesss It’s true ,
Today While working on my laptop, I took a look at my slip “7afza”, It’s a paper we use to pay the semester fees, down at the bottom of the slip there was a n00b admin mistake sitting there, telling me “HACK ME , HACK ME 
”, so I had to answer the call
It had the address of the slip printing server , Guess what ? Now I can print anyone’s slip and see how much they’ve paid, If they registered, how many credit hours registered and alot of juicy info about students
I’m working right now on a client’s website, so I’m not free to post the full hack now, but I promise it will come online so soon with a little nifty webapp to take over AAST again 
To the admins behind AAST, Please take more caution while developing webapps

BuddyPress 1.0.1 is killing me !

So what happens is, I’m working on my project, decided to use BuddyPress on top of Wordpress-MU to give me the social layer as promised !
It’s all done, server configured (took a whole day) BuddyPress installed, Wordpress-MU installed !
Now, I configured it to do what I want it to do, It’s missing the biggest part of my project, which is the ranking system for the “Items”, please note that I’m keeping discretion about what the project is because I don’t want this idea to be done before mine
So I knew from the beginning i’ll write the plugin for BuddyPress, But never knew it will be such a pain in the ass !, So I went to the plugins page, downloaded the skeleton plugin to
start coding, but wait, It’s broken some missing file error, I found the misplaced file, moved it, then got another error of a syntax error in the code, I spent the whole night debugging the whole thing, but out of desperation I decided to let go for the day !, Maybe I’ll write my own skeleton too, as this is just annoying !
I decided to blog about my furstration now insead !!!
I love webdev, but one day i’ll get a nervous breakdown !, know what I mean ?
So, I’m off to bed, then tomorrow we see what happens haha

Apache2 mod_rewrite install on Ubuntu for Wordpress-MU

Ok, first thing I stumbled upon today while setting up my LAMP Ubuntu staging server for my new project was the following
Installing Wordpress MU requires mod_rewrite for Apache, to install it you have to do the following simple tasks:
- Install mod_rewrite
- Restart Apache2
- Install Wordpress MU
to do the following
- sudo a2enmod rewrite
- sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
then point your browser to your wordpress-MU installation and voila you’re done !
